The two-direction audit
Most audits look outward, taking a look at which sites exist, what content you have, and what actions users take. However, that’s only half the story. The other half is an internal look at how things actually work:
- How was the ecosystem built?
- Are teams relying on manual workarounds to deliver basic functionality?
- What tools are agencies using that you don't know about?
- Where is effort duplicated without anyone noticing?
The real insight comes into focus only when you connect user experience with how it is delivered behind the scenes.
